Princess Gabi was born from a simple but magical idea: to make little girls feel truly beautiful. It all started with my Aunt Gabi- the original creative heart behind this brand. She poured love and passion into every princess dress she made, and I spent countless days in the factory helping out, watching her designs come to life, and dreaming up my own.
My name is Giulia, and today I have the privilege of continuing what she started. After studying Industrial Psychology, I realised that while I didn’t follow a traditional path into fashion, my heart kept returning to this little world of magic and tulle and taking over Princess Gabi felt like the right step. I wanted to honour the beautiful foundation my aunt built, while still evolving the brand so I updated our dresses with better quality fabrics and thoughtful construction.
Behind the seams
Though I never formally studied fashion, I’ve been learning from the best for years. My aunt’s mentorship, the hum of sewing machines, and the careful hands of the same seamstresses who’ve been with us since the beginning- this factory holds our history as a family-run brand.
Today, I do a little bit of everything: I design our dresses, choose every fabric, handle the marketing, talk to our customers, and show up at pop-up markets across the country. We’re proud to be a women-led children’s clothing company and a growing South African kids clothing brand, known for comfy, thoughtful, magical pieces that kids love to wear. As we grow, we remain committed to making ethical children’s fashion in South Africa- crafted locally, designed with intention, and made to last.

Cinderella Princess Twirl Dress- my toddler loves it!
